What is a wellness screening?

A wellness screening is a comprehensive health check for dogs over five and cats over seven. Tailored for complete peace of mind, wellness checks detect health issues early. 

Early detection is key to keeping your pet healthy and happy. These screenings help identify potential issues, so we can provide prompt care and help your pet live a long, healthy life.

Screenings include:

  • Physical exam  
  • Blood test for all common organ function-related diseases 
  • Urine test 
  • Blood pressure measurement

What will a screening test for?

To make sure your pet is healthy and happy, our wellness screenings will test for:

  • Kidney disease 
  • Liver disease 
  • Diabetes 
  • High blood pressure 
  • Overactive thyroid in cats

Preparing for your wellness screening

Before your screening, there are a few things you can do to prepare: 

  • Bring in a urine sample  (speak to your vet for guidance)
  • Make sure your pet doesn't eat anything for 12 hours before their appointment for the blood test
  • Book your wellness screening at the same time as your healthy pet check
